First appointment of the year with our Design Icon, dedicated to the Pistillino lamp.
Designed by Studio Tetrarch and built by Valenti since 1969, the Pistillino (and the larger Pistillo variant) is one of the most iconic lamps of the twentieth century.
Unique for the great effect that it is able to give the shape, it is a lamp that can be table, wall and ceiling at the same time.
Among the few very beautiful even when turned off, the Pistillino consists of a chrome bulb in the center and a series of reflective arms that radiate light into the surrounding space.
Both the form and the name are borrowed from the natural realm.
The pistil is the female reproductive organ that is located in the heart of flowers.
In nature they contain pollen that will then be spread by insects or wind.
The spheres are made of chromed and gold ABS: the high reflective power diffuses the light emitted by the central bulb. Effect multiplied if today’s protagonist is resting on a mirror surface or on a glass table.
A couple has just arrived in our warehouse, which we offer for sale on our www.dimanoinmano.it website and in our shop in Cambiago.
