The Classic Monday has now become a regular event in recent months. Every Monday, we offer an in-depth look at our antiques, furniture, and objects, always appreciated for their refinement and elegance.
Moreover, their importance and the fact that they are so sought after are tied to their history. Their function and style are inextricably linked to the fashion of their time, as well as to the customs and traditions of society.
They are, in effect, pages of human history.
We know that you are fond of our articles, but this Monday we want to take the opportunity to present to you another aspect of the history of taste.
As we have already told you here, collecting has been a widespread practice since ancient times.
As a practice of entire families over the centuries or thanks to individual personalities, large collections provide important insights into the taste of their creators and are often made up of significant works.
At Mano in Mano, we also deal with the acquisition of some of these collections.
Recently, we had the opportunity to acquire an important collection from the Marche region.
This remarkable collection stands out both for the quantity and variety of items, but especially for their quality.
It is characterized by an exquisite collection of antique furniture and also includes a significant group of objects and sculptures. The collection has a considerable section of paintings, comprising over 100 examples on various supports and representing different subjects: from sacred to secular art, still lifes to landscapes.
In the coming days, we will present this collection to you. Be sure to continue following us!
