On the occasion of the Fuorisalone, the Cooperativa Di Mano in Mano tells the story of design with “ABC… Design”, an exhibition that is a bit of an alphabet of the most iconic designs from the history of this fascinating world, created and produced between the 1950s and 1980s of the 20th century.

The ABC of Furnishing

The alphabet” presented by Di Mano in Mano is the ABC that has written the history of modern furnishing, balancing form, function, aesthetic, mass production, and craftsmanship. In fact, the displayed works have become over time true icons, symbolic representations of what “design” means in the collective imagination: for architects and designers as much as for enthusiasts and collectors.

From the Camaleonda Sofa by Bellini to the D 70 Sofa by Tecno, from the Arco Lamp to the Parentesi by Castiglioni, from the LB7 Bookshelf to the Cicognino by Albini, from the Elda Armchair by Joe Colombo to the Chaise Longue by Le Corbusier… And these are just some of the 25 creations you will find at “ABC… Design”.

Collaboration with Andrea Ghisoni

The Cooperativa presents an exhibition path designed in collaboration with the designer Andrea Ghisoni, founder of Studio Intervallo, which enhances each work and guides visitors through the stages of this journey into the recent past of Design.

Because attending a Di Mano in Mano event is not just about admiring its wonderful products, but rather sharing an experience.

For this reason, it’s worth making a detour to “ABC… Design” and marking the appointment in the already busy schedules of those of you attending Design Week, to reconnect with the roots and essence of a history that never stops evolving and is, today, more intricate than ever. Also because the event has free admission and no registration required.
