Planet Hambient XIV

And here we are at the fourteenth appointment with our Planet Hambient Blog.

In this location, we present a living room with a classic taste, bright, with light tones, furnished with an important antique piece: a Liberty-style credenza made in the workshop of the famous Milanese carpenter Ferdinando Pogliani.

You can read more about its features by opening the suggested link.

Above the credenza, a portrait of a lady from the late 1800s. Signed by an artist, P. Detanger, a representative of the French school of the period.

The beautiful gilded frame from the early 1900s, which frames the oil painting on canvas and adds a touch of light to the wall.

A second, larger painting, is hung on the wall of the staircase. It is also an oil painting on canvas depicting a woman, dated 1950 and signed by Giuseppe Mascarini. So, different styles but one common thread: the subject.

Two types of seating furnish the space in front of the credenza.

A bean-shaped sofa, of Italian production, dating back to the 1950s. An important upholstered piece, whose shape allows for comfortable seating even at the sides.

Two Liberty armchairs, which echo the style of the credenza, have been added to pleasantly differentiate the composition.

On our website, you can view the collection of seating, including armchairs and sofas by clicking the provided link.

On the floor, a beautiful Indian rug supports a modern 1970s glass coffee table. An additional contrast between a “classic” piece and a modern complement.

The lighting is provided by two sources: a floor lamp and a ceiling light.

The floor lamp is a beautiful vintage item, with the particular fabric lampshade, while the ceiling light is a 1950s product with glass flowers shaping it. A classical touch and a neutral material, glass, that harmonizes with the entire environment.

Other types of lamps are available on our website in the lighting section.

In our “collectibles” section, visible on the website at the indicated link, we have selected some pieces that contribute to the decor and personalization of the environment: from a bronze sculpture, by the artist Pavel Petrovitch Trubetskoy, to some Murano glass bottles and paperweights.

We’ll meet again next week with a new episode of the Planet Hambient blog. We renew the invitation to visit our website for the many proposals published.
