Welcome back to our tenth weekly blog post Planet Hambient.
We present an industrial-style location, ideal for showcasing our new furniture and accessories. A bit modern and a bit antique, creating connections that satisfy both taste and functionality.
The centerpiece of the setting is a 1940s buffet. It features a veneer of three different woods that make the design unique. It offers decent storage with its two hinged-door compartments and a bar area with a flap door.
Mounted on the wall above the buffet, we have placed an antique frame, inside which a painting or a mirror could be placed if desired.
We want to add a touch of originality with a painted terracotta column in 19th-century classical style: we use it as a plant stand, adding an element of nature to the composition.
We have included a Savonarola chair in style, with a leather finish and a carved wooden frame with floral elements that recall the 16th-century style.
It complements the buffet by connecting with its colors and the neutrality of a material like leather and echoes the floral decorations of the column.
A beautiful Mazlagan carpet from Iran made of wool and cotton with thick hand-knotted weaving, completes the room and with the yarn color brightens the space.
A very comfortable Bergere armchair with footrest offers a second seating. The exposed lower structure is made of mahogany, seat and back covered in leather with button-tufting.
A small table, gueridon, made of walnut from the early 1800s, serves the armchair. Classic in its style, called “Empire”, it has a round top with an attached drawer. It ties in with the rest of the room, creating an elegant contrast of styles.

Our living room has two different light sources: a floor lamp modern, a product of 1960s-70s design. It features a chromed metal base and opaline glass light elements.
The second light source is a wall lamp in a style that contrasts sharply with the floor lamp: the wall light has a classical design reminiscent of the Rococo style. The golden leaf motifs that make up the structure are similar in finish, subject, and motif to the frames we have incorporated.
