Oil on canvas. The scene comes from the picture that Titian painted in the second version after the one in the church of the Jesuits at Venice, to the patronage of Philip II for the Escorial. Already in 1571, the printer Cornelis Cort he wrote a print counterpart, from which she copied the author of our version, signature and date on the base of the statue. A painted reproduction of the engraving is located on the Prado, and another, the disappearance, appeared in 1647 in the inventory of the estate of Juan Alfonso de Cabrera, admiral of Castile.
