Oil on board. The painted part was restored, while the board was thinned and strengthened on the back with a modern chestnut board. The depicted scene is taken from Luke's Gospel and is about the moment when Baby Jesus was taken to the temple accompanied by his parents to be offered to God according to the Jewish tradition. In that moment, he is recognized as the Messiah firstly by priest Simeon and then by prophetess Anne. The painting is presented in gilded frame of the 19th century. 17th-18th century.
