Oil painting on canvas signed Noelqui and dated 1943 in the lower left corner. Title on the back. Noel Quintavalle was born in Florence but grew up and studied in Milan. He graduated in architecture and studied art as an autodidact, but after the World War he became famous and exhibited his works in many national and international exhibitions. In the meantime he took part also to the literary activity and published some books (satire, fairy tales, novels and memories of the war). He made some sculptures and woodcuts as well. His used to paint portraits and landscapes. The ballerina is a recurrent subject in his production. The painting is presented in frame. Some patches.
