Description : Madonna con Bambino

Oil on canvas. It is a nineteenth century copy of the famous painting by Raffaello, the "Madonna Bridgewater",oil on wood, 1507, today conserved at the National Gallery of Scotland, Edinburgh. Faithful to the original work, which proposes the particular postures of the two figures, characterized by an opposite motion and divergent, with a concatenation of gestures (the arms of the Child will take the veil of the mother, the hands of Mary, that skim the body of the son) that generates a moving coil. A few drops of color, especially in the central part, which require restoration. The work is presented in a golden frame coeval.
