Oil on canvas. This tragical biblical scene is portrayed with high pictorial quality, the figures are depicted with the sole use of color and no clear contours. On the rear of the painting there is the name of the family (Pellegrini) who owned this collection. There are several color losses, in particular in the lower left corner. The painting is presented in an early 20th century frame.
