Description
A pair of three-stage design console mori silver taken from the famous mori clock of St Mark's square. From the data that can be read on the back of the console, we can trace the context referenced by these extraordinary pieces: this is a production of the opera "Armide" by Christoph Willibald Gluck, first performed in Paris in 1777 and a few years ago revived the splendid performance of Riccardo Muti with the sets and directed by Pier Luigi Pizzi. The pieces proposed are part of the scenography of the 4th Act and well recall the atmosphere of magic that permeates the entire libretto of the opera, taken from an episode of the Gerusalemme Liberata.
