Description : Flora, Copia da Tiziano
Oil on canvas applied to hardboard. It is a small copy of a painting made by Titian between 1515 and 1517. The original is currently kept at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. The painting depicts Flora as a young woman emerging from a brown background, dresses in an old-fashioned way. She's holding out a bouquet of spring flowers with her right hand, made up of roses, violets and jasmine. Her face is very delicate, as it corresponds to the canons of the 16th Century Renaissance beauty. She is framed by long, loose auburn hair, the typical color chosen by the woman portrayed by Titian (hence the term "Titian's Red). The small painting is showed in an elegant frame.
