Full parchment binding with nails on the external margins of the plates and calligraphic title on the spine: traces of dust and stains on the plates, dirty spine, two worm holes on the external margin of the front plate, missing nail on the front plate at the upper end . Red cuts with traces of dust. The volume bears signs of exposure to humidity: the cc are wavy, slightly browned with blooms and pale stains of humidity on the lower and internal margins which discontinuously affect the entire volume and become particularly intense from Dd1 to the end of the volume. Iulii Frontini Stratagematum et strategicon libri IV; Aeneae, vetustissimi tactici, Poliorceticus sive De toleranda obsidione (edited by Isaac Casaubon); Polybii Commentarius polemicus sive De militia et castramentatione Romanorum ex Historiarum book VI (edited by Isaac Casaubon); Claudii Aeliani Tactica sive De Aciebus constituendis ad Adrianum Imperatorem. Before the texts, the editor's preface, two letters addressed to him by Isaac Casaubon and Hugo Grotius and information on the authors of the treatises.
