Designer: Carlo Bartoli

Carlo Bartoli graduated in Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano (the city where he was born) and began his professional activity by dedicating himself to architectural works, interior design and industrial design. He taught Design at the Higher Course of Industrial Design in Florence and Rome and Design at the Milan Polytechnic and held seminars at the Turin Polytechnic. He has been invited to exhibit in numerous exhibitions and events, including the XIV Triennale di Milano. Since 1967 the Gaia armchair produced by Arflex has been part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and in 2002 it was included in the permanent collection of Italian design at the Milan Triennale; The 4875 chair (Kartell) is exhibited in the design collection of the National Museum of Modern Art, Paris. In 2000, the Italian Post Office issued six stamps on the Italian design theme: among the products depicted, the Breeze armchair by Segis. In 2008, Bartoli Design was awarded the XXI Compasso d'Oro ADI.
