Numerous black and white photographs in and out of text. Fellini invited William Klein to Rome to work as an assistant on the film Nights of Cabiria. Filming was delayed by a few weeks, so Klein took advantage of the delay to photograph the city; together with some photographs for Vogue magazine, the result of the work done is Rome. The book is divided into five chapters: Citizens of Rome, The Street, Eternal City, Boys, Catholic World. Each chapter is introduced by a short text in Italian. Text in French. Texte en Français.
