Oil on canvas.The original copy of Jacopo Bassano in the Pinacoteca Capitolina, first of a series of works with the same subject that the Bassano composed. His son Francesco development then the footsteps paterne biblical-pastoral subjects, often by copying it directly, as in the case of the good Samaritan of Jacopo in the National Gallery in London known copy on canvas of Francis (Prague Castle Gallery). The subject is developed with synthetic capacity, illustrating on top, incumbent on the covering, the figures of the Wanderer clubbed and good Samaritan bowed to heal him with vials of oil and wine; to the right you can see the figure of the Levite indifferent away, intent on reading of the law of God; against the backdrop of the city, which is the Bassano del Grappa di Jacopo. Reintelato and already restored, the opera is in good condition
