Italy, Late XVIII - Early XIX Century

Neoclassical lacquered fireplace. Made with a mirror in the support base while in the upper part a camber encloses an oval reserve in which an allegorical painting depicting "Justice" with cupids is housed; the frame is lacquered in shades of ochre and gray and yellow, with reserves painted with classic candelabra and white festoons on a light blue background.

Large free-standing mirror made in the last quarter of the 19th century still with a marked eclectic taste. The structure of the strongly architectural frame features a double arch on the top on which rests a large hexagonal reserve with a blue painted background with carved and gilded putti inserted. On the two culminating parts of the mirrors are inserted facing carved and always gilded dragons. On the sides of the mirror are applied carved dragons with Gothic turrets. Then two coats of arms are applied, one of which is recognizable as the Visconti coat of arms. Veneered in mahogany with painted and gilded parts. Repetitions in the gilding.

Empire Frame with Antique Prints

Pair of Empire frames in carved walnut with successive gilded leaf moulding on the inside, containing two period prints that refer to spousal love, in fact they tell of the meeting at the well of Rebecca and Eliazer and the meeting between Jacob and Rachel.

Tuscany, Late XIX Century

Louis Philippe cheval mirror, resting on two bases equipped with a drawer and connected by a pair of turned crosspieces; the uprights are carved in the shape of dolphins, to support the frame, decorated with a cymatium carved with leaf scrolls: the central psyche mirror has both a tilting movement and a rotation movement, thanks to a vertical pin. In mahogany, the interiors are in poplar.

Tuscany, Early XIX Century

Empire Cheval Mirror of Tuscan production supported by characteristic feet ending with ebonized and gilded floral corolla elements, connected by a turned crosspiece also ebonized and gilded. Ebonized column uprights with gilded capitals supporting the cymatium and framing the mercury mirror with tilting movement. In walnut.

Milan, Third Quarter of the XVIII Century

Carved and lacquered fireplace with a painted canvas with a still life in the center and a mirror underneath. The whole surface is carved with rocaille motifs called "a pel de rava"according to the Milanese taste. Milan third quarter of the eighteenth century.

Italy, Last Quarter XVIII Century

Neoclassical mirror in carved and partially lacquered and gilded wood, Lombardy last quarter of the 18th century. Medallion frieze with love knot placed on the top, made with a ribbon and held by a float, and richly carved floral festoons; gilt moldings, mercury mirror. Decorated in the upper part with a cancurrent motif enriched with golden leaf elements, attributable to the iconographic repertoire of Giocondo Albertolli (Bedano 1742–Milan 1839), Swiss-Italian architect, decorator and teacher.

Lombardy Late 17th - Early 18th Century

Baroque mirror, the frame is carved with powerful leafy volutes, it is entirely gilded; with lacks and restorations.

Veneto Last Quarter of the 18th Century

Neoclassical mirror with a contoured shape, the apron and the cymatium are carved with characteristic festoon and vase motifs. In partially gilded walnut, in the lower part there are places for the torch holder arms.
