Description : Il profeta Isaia e il re Ezechia morente
Oil on canvas. The large painting depicts the biblical event from the Book of Isaiah, in which the prophet informs the king Hezekiah, who was critically ill, to arrange his things because he is going to die. The king implored God and reminded him about his loyalty. God accepted his plea and healed him through the prophet Isaiah. The artist seems to draw inspiration from the same subject depicted by Domenico Fiasella (1589-1669) and stored at the museum of Palazzo Bianco in Genoa. Our painting, already restored, requires cleaning. It is presented in frame. 17th century.
