Description
This treatise of a philosophical nature represents the second of the 4 volumes that make up the edition Of new writings by N. Tommaseo volumes four, published by the types of the Gondolier in Venice in 1838. It is the period of the French exile of Tommaseo, first to Paris, Nantes and then Corsica; in those years the Commentary on the Dante's Comedy (1837) and the Poetic Memoirs and Poems had appeared at the same publishing house. This treatise bears the dedication to Giampietro Viesseux, editor of the magazine Antologia to which Tommaseo collaborated in his Florentine years
