Two volumes in excellent condition. The reproduction of the codex is presented in a red velvet binding with metal corners and central medallion with stones, in excellent condition. Cards in excellent condition. Commentary with full leather binding with gilt title on the spine and gilt title and engraving on the front cover, in excellent condition. The two volumes are contained in a leather-covered case with a leather insert on the front plate with an embossed decorated vignette, in excellent condition.

Description

Limited edition of 750 copies (ours is no. 482) of the facsimile reproduction of the codex ms.556 created in 1446 by Zuliano degli Anzoli, preserved at the National Central Library of Florence. The text (illustrated by 289 pen drawings) tells the story of King Arthur and his court, the exploits of the knights of the Round Table in search of the Holy Grail and the love affairs of Lancelot and Guinevere and Tristan and Isolde. The reproduction of the code accompanies a volume of transcription and comments by Roberto Cardini
