Copy in very good condition. Full leather binding with gilt titles on the front cover and on the four-ribbed spine: tiny abrasions on the lower portion of the spine and on the corners. The volume is contained in a slipcase with minimal peeling on the edges and corners and slight fading of the color; tiny sticker reporting the number 71 on the lower edge. Texts in Italian, German, English and French.

Description

This edition includes ten original lithographs made on zinc plates and signed by MARIO DONIZETTI. The copies were printed directly from the zincs, designed by the artist, at the publisher's graphics department. The print run consists of one hundred and ninety-nine copies in Arabic numerals from 1 to 199, plus twenty-five "Ad personam" copies in Roman numerals from 1 to XXV. The lithographs are printed on handmade "affresco" paper with the publisher's dry stamp and the texts on "acquarello" paper from the Ventura and Fabriano paper mills. The twenty-five "Ad personam" copies are accompanied by a numbered monograph by MARIO DONIZETTI, containing 12 artistic four-color plates plus 4 mezzotint drawings in 35 x 50 cm format. The plates are crossed out by the artist. This edition was exhibited among the prestigious works of the XXXII Frankfurt Book Fair of the Federal Republic of Germany from 8 to 13 October 1980. Copy No. 71/199. As a further guarantee of authenticity and for the high market value of Mario Donizetti's graphic works, the ten lithographs collected in this volume, in addition to the dry stamp of the Publisher, bear an additional ink stamp with the 15 mm high reproduction of a drawing preceding the autograph signature in pencil of the Artist.
