Description
In 15 sheets printed on the front, the rare facsimile reproduction of the manuscript of the famous article published in the “Mattino” of Naples on 2-3 September 1892, in an anonymous edition, without editorial data and without the consent of the author, published in a few copies in the 1920s. The poet violently attacks Pietro Mascagni, launched into the world of opera by the great success of his first opera, Cavalleria Rusticana, a musician too commercial for the refined tastes of D'Annunzio and who had dared to personally conduct a concert in honour of Franz Joseph, earning himself the epithet of “vulgar bandleader”
