With Author's signature to the sheet of the guard, dated Milan, may 6, 1947. At the time of the discovery, within the volume there were folded into nine typewritten pages with poems of Quasimodo,without corrections, autograph, or signature, but with interesting variations compared to some of the texts published. Of the nine sheets, three are loose: 1. The MORNING SINGING (trad. anonymously), TO HERMES(trans. from Sappho), OBOE SOMMERSO, IN the ANCIENT LIGHT OF the TIDES: the text added to each poem and SALVATORE QUASIMODO typescript 2. NOW, the text with added SALVATORE QUASIMODO typescript 3.
