Questo libro propone una celeberrima raccolta di fotografie che ritraggono le popolazioni indigene del Nord America: per oltre trent'anni il fotografo Edward Sheriff Curtis (1868-1952) percorse in lungo e largo il continente americano per documentare con parole e immagini la vita e le tradizioni delle popolazioni indiane minacciate di estinzione.
